WDRSC 2012 Winter Seminar

The WRSDC Winter Seminar was held at D&M Auto Body in Slinger Wisconsin on February 25, 2012. The meeting was setup by Bill Van Alstyne (again this year). Thanks Bill. The gathering started with visiting and donuts. Buzz Beckman covered polishing stainless trim with sand paper. With many grit ranges up to 2000 grit it works extremely well. I, myself, have never tried it, and I was impressed! Bill, with the assistance from Jim Pepper, covered rear axle shaft removal and repacking procedure of the axle shaft bearings. Jim demonstrated axle bearing replacement and checking axle shaft run-out using v-blocks and a dial indicator including a discussion on axle shaft end play. There were 39 people in attendance. Lunch was Cousin’s subs, chips, water and soft drinks. We had a good time! Thanks, again, to Bill and Patti for organizing this event. Terry, Tim and I went on to the Mineshaft for much needed refreshments!.
